Hi,

After the last update i am getting the following error ocationally.

[04/09/2022, 19:49:30] [DenonTv] Device: 192.168.2.32 G666 AV Receiver, Info error: AxiosError: timeout of 10000ms exceeded, reconnect in 15s.

The device itself is properly connected and has the correct IP address. Anyone else experiencing this error?

grzegorz914 commented 2 years ago

The AVR some time not response to the plugin, if all working correct just ignore it.

The AVR some time not response to the plugin, if all working correct just ignore it.

Sadly that’s not the case as it stops working in HomeKit, I do seem to have found a workaround opening the Denon app on my iPhone several times until it works makes it responsive again.

Hi - I've had the same issue. It seems to be with my Denon AVR. There are a number of posts where people experience connectivity issues to the AVR with different models. A Denon post acknowledged the issue.

I reset the network module today. So far all is well - if it doesn't last I'll update this post.

It's easy to do and only takes a minute or so. The link below - post #5 - has instructions on the combination of buttons to press and hold and reset the network module for various models. It also includes setting the Input to the right input.

This covers the S and X series: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/the-official-2016-denon-s-series-x-series-avr-owners-thread-faq.2444306/

Hi, I have the same issue with my Marantz SR7012. I had an older version in my last flat (some 2020 version - not sure, which one exactly it was), after I moved this summer I updated everything to the latest version and it worked for a couple of hours. Then, I got the same error. Also, the avr remote app showed the receiver but wasn’t able to connect to it. I did a network reset of my marantz - worked again for some hours but then again the error. After changing the IP address of the receiver, leaving the ip adress in the homebridge plug-in as it was, the AVR remote app started working again. I also tested to not use the app and controlled the receiver only via HomeKit after changing the IP adress (in the receiver and homebridge): worked for some hours but then again the timeout. At the moment l, I can’t use your plugin. I assume that there is something wrong in the communication between the plug-in and the receiver since the app is working fine for days when there is just the app connected.

Thanks for report this, are you using WLAN or LAN connection to AVR? I don’t have observed this in my case, my DENON AVRx6300H is connected with LAN cable and working whole of the time without any issue.

AVR and homebridge on raspi are connected via LAN

Im pushed 3.17.25-beta.0 to test, please try this version and let me know

5v3n31 commented 2 years ago

I installed it and for the moment it works (as usual after changing IP adress in the config). I will give feedback today or tomorrow. Thank you! Great work!

Same issue here with Denon AVR-X2500H since few weeks; Device shows in HomeKit as not responding; Everything (the AVR and Homebridge) connected via Ethernet, both in the same VLAN)

5v3n31 commented 2 years ago

The beta is still working - usually (after changing ip), it would have stopped working at this time. I‘ll give feedback when it stops working but it looks good for now

grzegorz914 commented 2 years ago

@jul9000 please enable debug mode in plugin config and post the log.

grzegorz914 commented 2 years ago

@5v3n31

(after changing ip)

What you mean about this?

5v3n31 commented 2 years ago

Before you released the beta, the only way to get the connection between homebridge and the avr running was to change the IP address of the avr. Then it worked for a couple of hours. With the new beta, the plug-in is running longer than before.

5v3n31 commented 2 years ago

I guess that the plug in is still connected the the avr but I’m currently not at home to check that

5v3n31 commented 2 years ago

AVR is still alive in HomeKit. I guess this beta was a bug fix at least for me :-)

grzegorz914 commented 2 years ago

Nice

Since today, I have connection errors again.

[homebridge-denon-tv] Device: 192.168.0.xyz Marantz SR7012, Info error: Error: read ECONNRESET, reconnect in 15s.

Again, I‘m not able to connect via the avr remote app.

Same issue here, and persists after updating to v3.18.1 also. Everything is ethernet. Denon receiver reachable via IP address in browser.

Yes, I can also still see it, not constantly, but quite often:

Both Homebridge and the AVR are connected via Ethernet, reachable. homebridge-denon-tv v3.18.1

I'll try to catch the errors in debug mode now and post them here
