Volume Control using Button is very slow .... #261

hello there! Since some releases controling the volume is very slow - means when i move the bulb e.g. to 50% there is kind a processing "wait" symbol below the bulb in homekit. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds til somethings happens. Im on y Marantz AVR 40 - tried different "model" settings in the app but still... Any clue why this happens?

Same issue here with Marantz SR8015

Plugin is bad since one or two releases ago. Changing of volume is almost unresponsive as is changing surrounds. The lag is tremendous, if responsive at all.

Please don’t make changes on requests if not tested properly.

which button, hardware buttons on iPhone/iPad or extra created buttons in home app?

Ok, it's slightly more responsive, but still odd behavior. I hope the attached screen recording gives some clarity. In this I manually change the volume slider to 24, to 37, to 30 and back to 40. So four manual interactions. When I move the slider, the volume doesn't change immediately, it lags. After the volume is adjusted, the volume slider stays in the correct position for a couple of seconds and then the volume slider is going up and down several times on its own. I do nothing there. It also changes the volume on the receiver until it's back in the proper position.

Much better! Seems to 'bounce' a little bit sometimes I think, but need to test it a bit longer. First prepare dinner now, so get back to you later after some more testing.

All seems to be fine now. Volume and selection of surrounds are responsive as expected again. Good fix.
