We decided to give users some freedom with the setting of the monetary symbol on purpose, as if we did not, we would also would need to include some way to verify the validity of the currency (possibly requiring internet connection) which is outside the scope of v1.4

Also, new currencies may be created quite often such as the Euro in 1999. For now, you may search online whether your currency exists before you use it in our application

Severity has been downgraded as it is a minor cosmetic issue, and not causing major problems with the functionality
