3.2.9. No mining of hidden data

mine or otherwise collect any Game data which is not intended for display during normal (as intended by Gaijin) exploitation of such Game;

or this is always been there and im just blind

But why? What they do if you will datamine? They nothing can do, fuck them.

These are just packed configuration files, not hidden from public (as they reside on local system). They are not encrypted or otherwise locked from viewing. I doubt these fall under the EULA.

They have been encrypted/purposely made unreadable to current tools.

I am not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure this section of the EULA has more to do with forbidden mods mining data from the client for game play purposes than for mining for upcoming changes to the game. If you're clever enough with Python, you can display some very interesting things on screen in game, but it'll get you banned pretty quick.

Encryption suggests a password of sorts. Unreadable? They are compressed using rar… If the WT folks really had an issue with this that would make them pull out the EULA/ToS, posts containing this data would be promptly cleared from the forums or reddit as well. I seriously doubt this line in the EULA is there for the purpose of fighting back against fact checking/QA (for free) of their game configuration by the WT community.

@FlareFlo Not encrypted, they changed:

  1. Packing method for vromfs
  2. Encoding for blk

This was changed long time ago too previously, and tools been patched (no encryption, packed only).

Actually, if you check https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://warthunder.com/en/support/eula/, you can see that eula on site was changed few times, not Last revised and effective: December 29, 2020 or not?

Plus eula bundled with game differs from one on the site, soo ;-)
