Are there any plans for adding a GCS import feature? #1

As I understand it, there's already a feature to import character sheets into this from GURPS Character Assistant. Are there any plans on the implementation of a similar feature for GURPS Character Sheet?

There is no plan currently to add an import function for GCS files. I will add this feature to a list of ideas for future development but it will likely be quite a while before it gets implemented. Any code contributions would be welcome.

A quick look at GCS revealed that the characters are saved in XML which is good for importing but some of the secondary statistics are not included which would make things more difficult. An alternate method could be to use the GCS export template system. df_monster_template.html includes most of the information that would be needed and it might be possible to save directly into GURPSInitTool's format.

In case it changes anything for you, Richard Wilkes (the GCS guy) just migrated all of the GCS data to JSON.
