Thanks a lot for explaining your use case!
Being able to pause/disable a move and the following lines would be great. I'll add this to my to-do list.
Could you please explain what you mean by "jumping" to positions with >1 move, what should happen? Do you mean you should be taken directly to studying the lines after this, or do you mean that it should be simple to disable/enable moves from these positions?
Currently, Chessdriller does not work well with multiple options / candidate moves. If you e.g. have both 1. d4 d5 2. c4 and 1. d4 d5 2. Bf4 in your Black repertoire, then Chessdriller will simply pick one, and you will not know if it expects c4 or Bf4. Handling this is high up on my to-do list.
You can download the manual of of Chess Position Trainer 5.1 here: https://www.chesspositiontrainer.com/download/manuals/CPT5_1_manual.pdf The function " > 1 candidate moves" is explained under the title GoTo-Position You can also download Chess Position Trainer for free and use it with all the functions for some periode of time. https://www.chesspositiontrainer.com/index.php/en/download I made a little video capture to demonstrate this function.

An other way would be to just use pgn's with only one candidate move, for the side I play. And just edit the line if I want to change it later.
I like Chess Position Trainer, except that its buggy and outdated. And I don't think we will see an updated version anytime soon.
Thanks for your clear explanations and video capture!
Just letting you know that Chessdriller now works fine with multiple options / candidate moves. There's no way of listing them or pausing specific branches as of yet, I'll think about how to solve that. It would be a useful feature for sure.
I have many position in my repertoire where I have more than one candidate move for my side to play. I most of the time only study one of these candidate moves, but I want to keep the other candidate move, if I want to include it in my training at a later point. I would like an option to jump to these positions ( > 1 candidate move), like you can with Chess Position Trainer. End I would like an option to exclude candidate moves from training, and to change it like desired by enabling or disabling it for training.
