All example files have been updated to be compatible with PHP 7. However there are still a few problems that need to be addressed. See https://github.com/gtkforphp/cairo/issues/29
Since the examples were not functional to begin with, can I suggest merging this pull request, then addressing the issue https://github.com/gtkforphp/cairo/issues/29 immediately after. The majority of errors were related to constants, which shouldn't be too difficult to fix.
