Currently fatal error is produced if limit specified by '-maxiter' is reached
by the iterative solver. It would be useful to allow some way to continue with
incomplete convergence, i.e. to calculate scattering quantities (currently only
checkpoint of type always is saved).
Thus '-maxiter' could be used to specify the fixed number of iterations to
perform. This would be especially interesting for the scattering-order
formulation.
