For our FRQ #2 hacks, I had to create a Java function to match words in a sort of game. I also had to implement a word guess function using the various forms of functions that we'd learned about before. I really enjoyed working on the FRQ's because I got to implement the knowledge that we'd learned in class in a practical manner. I also really enjoyed the Lightboard FRQ for FRQ # 4, because I got to learn how to use 2D arrays in a practical manner. Overall, working on the FRQ's greatly improved my comprehension of Java in a fun and interactive manner, and I enjoyed the takeaways of the projects.
I would self-grade myself with 2.7/3.0 for FRQ #2 and FRQ #4, because I met all of the requirements. I would've liked to do more, however, to showcase my knowledge of the subject matter, and maybe even take my own spin on the project, which is something that I'd like to improve on for my next projects.
This Trimester of APCSA was really impactful because we got a lot of firsthand experience working with JWT, databases, and really furthering our knowledge of Java as a language. It was great for us to be able to work as a team and figure out how to accomplish our project goals together, and how to create an efficient and effective team dynamic.
