Javascript not actually disabled #41

When I browse to http://javatester.org/javascript.html, it tells me that "JavaScript IS WORKING in your web browser" despite "Enable JavaScript" not being checkmarked in settings.

Checkmarking and un-checkmarking the box fixed it for me. Still, this is concerning.

I just ran that same test and it reported JavaScript as disabled. Which version of Orweb are you using?

0.4.4 from the Guardian Project's f-droid repo where Orbot is also hosted.

I'm able to repeat the issue if I press "Clear Data" from Orweb's entry in the Applications menu. If the setting has never been toggled, it seems the menu shows it as unchecked but the browser treats it as checked.

We haven't pushed this to the repo yet, but here is the direct APK for Orweb v5 beta, that should address these issues: https://guardianproject.info/releases/Orweb-release-0.5.0-BETA-3.apk
