Thanks for the note. Google made a major change to the browser engine in Android 4.4 that breaks proxy support.
We are working on a new update based on Firefox that is currently in alpha.

Orbot starts and connects to the tor network successfully, but when launching orweb it says: "Sorry. You are not using Tor". There used to be a message saying that the proxy server could not been configured, but after an update (of Orweb) a couple of weeks ago, the message disappeared. However, orweb is still not able to use the tor network. Thanks
