Cloning from a svn repository fails if using the file:// protocol #1092

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Choose "Git Clone..." from the context menu.
2. Point the URL at a subversion repository/project using the file:// protocol.
For example "file:///C:/Repos/MyRepo/MyProject"
3. Check the "From SVN Repository" box
4. Click "OK"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected the clone to succeed.
Actually get a lot of adding files lines, then some branch detection and
finally:
Permission denied: Can't open '/tmp/report.tmp': Permission denied at
C:\Program Files\Git/libexec/git-core/git-svn line 2829

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.7
Windows 7 Professional SP1

Please provide any additional information below.

git itself does not support this on Windwos atm. Sho this is not a TortoiseGit
issue.
