TortoiseGit very slow to open the windows explorer after boot #2493

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.install tortoise git
2.reboot
3.login

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected: the machine to boot normally
instead: the machine does nothing for 15 minutes before eventually working 
normally, blank screen after login
This happens every boot, I can't start the task manager or anything for a 
considerable time

What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?

TortoiseGit 1.8.14.0 (C:\Program Files\TortoiseGit\bin) 
git version 1.9.5.msysgit.0 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin) 
Windows 7 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
When first installed I think tortoise changed my home directory to something 
strange, I set it back to my normal home.

Uninstalling tortoise git the machine starts normally

I also have tortoise svn installed

Where is the home before you set it back?
Where is your normal home?

TortoiseGit does not change home directories. So please provide more 
information.
