This is more feedback, as I will not investigate further.
I've had to uninstall tortoiseGit which is a shame because it is so very convenient.
The reason is that when navigating through folders in explorer, the process hangs for around 5-10 seconds randomly. It can happen almost every time I start going through the filesystem (maybe 5-10 times a day). Once it hangs and recovers there are no problems for a while.
This is in addition to the context menu hangs that have been reported numerous times.
This is on Windows 11 Pro. Using nvme drives. (Some mapped network drives also, if that matters). None of the folder I am navigating through have any git repositories in them.
I had to uninstall years ago also, after trying numerous methods to work around the explorer hanging with the context menu. Now it is happening just by navigating folders, and so I must say goodbye to TortoiseGit. I do hope it can be fixed, as it is a very convenient method for managing Git repositories.
