Support for Multiple Apple TV's #15

Closed ghost closed 10 years ago

ghost commented 10 years ago

I have more than one Apple TV in my household, so when I am going to stream the given .torrent file, there is no way to select for it to play on the TV in my bedroom, it instead plays only on the living room set, no matter what I change my display to in "AirPlay" settings. Is there some way to fix this that I am missing? Or is this just not supported this early on?

Hello @b3autykill3r,

Only one AppleTV is supported for now, will add that functionality in the future.

@guerrerocarlos Do you have any idea about how to implement it? I am having trouble with my project due to this. I figure it is because mDNS needs to parse the TXT records, but im not sure.

jamiees2 commented 10 years ago

I got this working in my project by forking mdns-js to parse the txt records.

New version 0.9.5 just released, it includes fix to this issue (#15) and also #10, #20

It can be downloaded as usual from http://torrentv.github.io/

Sorry to open this up again, but I don't quite follow how to do this. I have two Apple TV's, but there doesn't seem to be any way to select which one to use. Am I just missing something obvious? Clicking on the Airplay icon just toggles an "off" text and greys out the icon. I can't see the whole name of the unit either. I recored it to make it easier to see: https://db.tt/G7QnIXtO
