Hi, guys! I have the same issue - wifi does not work after wakeup from sleep
mode.
I have one dirty fix, maybe this info will help developers to fix it later.

After wakeup press Alt+F1 to go the root console. type without quotes "ip set
link up dev wlan0" and press enter (wlan0 is your wifi device, can be
eth1/eth2, etc...). Press Alt+F7 to return into Android. After it Wi-Fi will
work as usual.
My device is ASUS EEEPC A701 4G, wifi driver is ath5k. Sometimes wifi won't
enable link, so need to do 'modprobe -r ath5k && modprobe ath5k && ip link set
up dev wlan0'.

I have a Asus EeePC 1215B.
I test some realeases of Android X86 from 1.6 thru 4.0.
The Release for Brazor never work on my machine, just loop at startup.
I was fine with 4.0 for EeePC and bring it into sleepmode.
Since that i cant login to any network. I find some wlans but if i connect,
signal strengh of the choosen network goes down. The message change from
realease to release:

1.6/2.2/2.3 says: Authenticate with Network and break this after a few secounds.
Netcfg says, eth0 is down. After bringing up with "ip eth0 link up" it goes
down again.
The eth1 for cablenetwork dont get any ip but it was working before this
issue...

3.2 : cant enable the adapter, but iam sure that's work before.

4.0 : depend on "obtain ip adress..."
netcfg says, wlan0 is up.

And heres the crazy thing: I just use the USB live release, installed with
lili. After formating and reinstall, same issue...

SOLUTION FOR: ERROR OBTAINING I.P. ADDRESS

If the status of your wifi is always obtaining i.p. address when trying to
connect to the internet:
1. Go to wifi settings
2. Click the "advance" option andget your MAC address
3. Login to your wifi router system setting
4. Under the wireless tab, you will see a link, button, or option "DHCP
Reservation" or any option related to DHCP and then add your
devices'/netbook/laptops mac address...

so that the wifi router will be able to successfully provide you your device's
own i.p. address and start your internet browsing whatsoever etc.
