Touch screen inoperative

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Booting my W500 with ICS from the SD Card

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect touch screen to work when booting from SD card.  Input only by using the 
keyboard/dock.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
IconiaTab W500, ICS android-x86-4.0-amd_brazos-20120101.iso

Please provide any additional information below.
Touch screen doesn't work.  Tried both docked and undocked without success.  
Those booting this same release from internal hard drive don't appear to be 
having this problem.

Hi,

Even I face the same issue, but its not that touch screen does not work at all, 
it works sometimes when i do a hard reset(long press of power button). I also 
boot from the sd card, maybe something to do with the touch screen USB device 
detection when booting from the sd card. 
I only have the Generic_Touch driver in the /system/usr/idc instead of eGalax 
driver that people have mentioned here.
Have experienced the same on all the ICS builds that are available till now.

I can confirm this issue. When booting from SD, even with 01012012 build 
(thanks by the way) The touchscreen sometimes doesnt work. Very often 
repeatedly when booting again to android ICS. Sometimes it is solved by booting 
into windows and a shutdown. I even noticed, that it didnt work in Windows 
afterwards, but that might be just a coincidence. Thanks for the builds again!
