Ethernet, Wifi for ICS 4.0 and other versions #680

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I have a Acer Aspire One D257 Notebook
2. Android works for all eeePC and Asus images
3. Unfortunately Wifi, and ethernet won't work
4. The only version in which ethernet "only" works is eeepc-eng 2.3.5 (to
notify that I never saw a ethernet menu in other image versions...)

PS: The sound in ICS4.0 eeePC and Asus image works

Best regards
Chefkoch

Similar problem here for my Acer Aspire One 722. It runs a C50 duaul core 1Ghz
processor. Installed onto the hard drive the latest versions (in succession) of
the ICS for AMD Bezos, 3.2 for AMD Bezon and eeePC and 2.3 for eeePC ISOs.

The wifi does not work. It attempts to switch on but doesn;t manage it - so I
am not even getting to the select a network stage. Someone mentioned on one of
the forums that they used an external USB wifi stick and that worked. Just
wondering if anyone has any experience. ICS looks fantastic on the Apire One.
But obviously the no-wifi is a showstopper.
