Don't tried RC1. Will do later today.
Had the same prob with release from 20120101.
Got it fixed by doing a boot with usb-mouse attached.
Then both, mouse and touch worked.

Steps:
boot -> no touch
put mouse in -> mouse works, no touch
done setup with mouse
reboot with mouse attched -> both, mouse and touch worked
disconnect mouse -> touch works (even after reboot)

sometimes it "reverts" somehow to not working touch but steps above always
fixed it.
in some minor cases even a reboot alone fixed it then.

Will try RC1 later and see if i have the same probs.

some people were saying that this driver
(http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/issues/detail?id=503) fixed it but it
didn't work for me when i tried. (maybe i set something wrong)

I can confirm that if you boot the tablet with a usb mouse plugged in the touch
support automatically kicks in. Don't know what causes that. Everything
seems to be working great. Has a little screen flicker, but nothing terrible.
Would be good if it could be fixed though. It does support the camera.
Does support wifi. The only thing I could not get to work properly was sleep
mode. As soon as my tablet went to sleep, it caused the screen to have a
screwed up picture upon awakening. Also the touch disappears after sleep.
Other than that it works great. Just have to have a usb mouse near by for
startup and awakening from sleep.

I just cant get it to work even with the mouse. Maybe it's the fact I'm using a
wireless mouse but any way a total fix would be great (something like an
upgraded driver)

Hey everyone. I'm currently typing from my w500 without previously plugging in
a keyboard. This is what I did to make it work.
(:-:) When you first select android from grub with the windows,,start key at
the bottom left of our w500 screens, after you select android hold down the
windows start key as fast as you can and continue to hold the windows key up
until you see the android logo then you can let go . And touch should hopefully
work.

Can anyone confirm the method used by crazypun?... Don't really want to have to
redo everything if its not going to work.
