wifi - cannot connect to wifi with static ip

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. turn WIFI on
2. modify network to set static IP
3. connect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It doesnt connect to wifi with static IP, at the end of trying loop it says 
Avoided poor internet connection, while wifi level signal is full

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
EEE901 @ Android 4.0 RC1

HI;

I confirm this problem on EEE1001P  @ Android 4.0 RC1 on ext2. Using DHCP does 
work.

Hi,

I confirm same happens with 4.0.3. I own a Samsung Galaxy SII.According to 
forums, it seems to be a quite common problem for those of us using static IP.

Hi,
same case here, it doesn't connect to wifi it shows ssid but doesn't connect 
and at end of loop it says Avoided Poor Internet Connection.
I an on Eeepc 1000H. 
Please find solution to this problem as fast as possible.

Confirm. Cannot obtain static IP. With DHCP all works fine.
Android 4.0.4-RC2, tested all images on WeTab (3Q Surf TU1102T)

I HAVE ALSO THE SAME PROBLEM 
But i may know the problem is that 
when i fill static ip
it can save all correct in ipconfig.txt which placed at misc/wifi/ipconfig.txt
but when i extrect this file file to windows 
i see the problem ip correct, dns correct as i fill 
but gatway not set it shows *0.0.0.0
plese solve these problem.
