ARM apps not supported on Intel #823

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Downloading apps from the market is simple but trying to find the one you want
is so hard because this doesnt work with ARM supported apps

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Will there be a fix for this any day? BEcause it would make it so much better

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RC1 ICS on the Aspire One

Please provide any additional information below.
Brilliant project keep it up!

Apps written for ARM processors WILL NOT WORK on x86 processors

they need to be ported to x86 to work on x86....

The only way we can get ARM native apps to work on Android-x86 is if someone
wrote a high-performance ARM to x86 Binary translator (Which is highly
unlikely..). Find apps that don't use the NDK and you'll be fine.

They should create an updated version of android x86 4.0.4 WITH the codes
already.... It'll be so much more convenient to us fellow android x86 users.

They do, you just need to install the libs yourself as the license for
libhoudini does not allow them to distribute it with the OS images.
