Wifi cannot be enabled on a Lenovo T400

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Settings
2. Enable Wifi
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should start wifi, but it doesnt. No errors, no nothing. Not even bluetooht 
works.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using the android-x86-4.0-RC1-asus_laptop.iso because the lenovo .iso is 
for a tablet and i don't think it will even boot.

Please provide any additional information below.
i'm kinda new to everything, worked a bit on linux, so take your time in 
explaining things :)
