GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run Live CD android-x86-4.0-RC1-asus_laptop.iso on Acer Aspire One 722
2. Configure the system (WIFI network/other systems settings)
3. Test the audio (either ringtones or youtube video)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Hear something (speaker / headphones): no sounds at all instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
android-x86-4.0-RC1-asus_laptop on Windows 7 Home Premium

Please provide any additional information below.
On the same Laptop running the live cd android-x86-4.0-RC1-amd_brazos.iso makes
the audio work perfectly, but the WIFI doesn't (and the phisical keyboard too).
the asus laptop version is perfect if you can fix the audio.

No chance to make the asus_laptop iso work on AO722: I've tried the
android-x86-4.0-RC1-eeepc.iso and this one is just perfect!
I'm going to install this on the HDD.
Excellent work!

I have the exact same problem. Only, I found that if you plug headphones in to
your AO722, crank the volume and listen intently, you can hear noise. It's
there but for whatever reason the volume has been turned WAY down. Seeing as
the sound card is not the problem I feel like this should be an easy fix
