First of all, it is unhelpful, and even disruptive, to mention that the feature is supported in a runtime (Bun) that BCD does not (currently) track. Brian's response to point you to the issue that discusses adding Bun was appropriate. Your statement about technical capabilities vs. bureaucracy was not.
You state that the issue about adding Bun is a "purely bureaucratic, politic discussion and decision by MDN Web Docs/Mozilla". This statement is inaccurate. It is not a political discussion, nor is it a discussion and decision by MDN Web Docs and/or Mozilla. Discussions and decisions are governed by the owners and peers of BCD, who come from various companies (including individual contributors).
Finally, the last line in your response was worded disrespectfully. Your tone is aggressive and gives the impression that adding Bun is an easy task we should have done a long time ago. The use of the phrase "perform some due diligence" implies that we have not already researched Bun.
What would have been much better is to comment on the issue about adding Bun and describe why you would like to see Bun added to BCD, as well as if you are able to help add the data (this part, you did do, thank you). Doing so would help us gauge consumer interest, and more consumer interest would increase the chances of the data getting added. The BCD maintenance team is a small team, so we must pick our projects carefully.
I just followed the link from the issue I filed, read about Node.js supporting Ed25519, and noted that Bun does, too.
At that time I had not even visited the BCD page, and my intent was not to add Bun to anything. I simply pointed out the technical capability of the JavaScript/TypeScript runtime. That's all.
Whatever is going on in you folks' own head about why I commented that Bun supports the algorithm is on you.
There is no such thing as "tone" on the Internet. You were mistaken about why I mentied Bun, and mistaken about that.
Re "disrespectful", precisely how? I didn't call anybody out of their username. I stated a technical fact without knowing about the politics you folks got going on re BCD and Bun. The BCD thing is not important to me. I had no idea what y'all had going on in that issue.
I already advised you it is impossible to determine some vague "tone" on the Internet. You will be just reenforcing your own internal perceptions, which could be very incorrect, as in this case.
Re "agressive". Well, I ain't passive and docile. I utilize direct communication, without rancor.
Take a step back. Direct communication is not a violation of any code of conduct. Stop being so sensitive that you take every discussion as some potential code of conduct violation.
If you have any questions, or need clarification feel free contact me. Thanks for your concern. It's misplaced though. Have a great day.
