I helped design a Lisp repl with cairo framework for text buffering for those who want to make shells or editors.

https://github.com/Arboreta/arboreta-core cairo was chosen specifically for the font rendering, the goal would to make a smarter SLIME+Emacs replacement in a CL image: text-editing, shells+process, macros, different gui models, etc
