brightness control not working #34

I installed nvidiabl in samsung rv409 graphics card 315m it worked but after booting the brightness can't be changed pls help me

have you enabled auto-loading of kernel module?

You should better ask that at your distributive-specific chatroom.

Please issue these commands in a terminal and give me the output, I will add autoload in next version:

lspci -nn cat /sys/class/dmi/id/sys_vendor cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_name

Hi... I have the same problem here... I've got a Samsung R510 working on Kubuntu 12.04. I've installed nvidiabl 0.74 but it doesn't change the brightness/backlight. Don't know how to deal with it? Can you help me?

To ajai: your model will be added in next release (0.75)

To togi: does your brightness change if you type:

sudo bash -c "echo -n 64 > /sys/class/backlight/nvidia_backlight/brightness"

If it does, you have the same problem as https://github.com/guillaumezin/nvidiabl/issues/37
