0.87 Slight Screen Flicker/Shimmer #91

Hi guillaumezin,

Here are my specs;

Slackware 14.1 x86_64 Openbox 3.5.2 xorg-server-1.14.3 GPU - GTX660M - drivers 331.49 i7-3610QM nvidiabl 0.87

I noticed when I turn the brightness down I'll see some flickering, wavering on the screen almost more of what I'd call a shimmering effect, like if the refresh rate was off slightly you see it moving around slightly

The darker the screen gets the more noticable it becomes, especially turned all the way down.

Hi guillaumezin,

I edited the post over, this is more about the screen flickering which concerns me, I hope will not cause any hardware problems, damage...

I really hope you can reply to this as soon as possible, I'm a bit nervous using this for now...

Hi, I also have this problem when turning down the screen brightness, the lower it goes the more the screen flickers.

I too hope this will not cause screen damage, can you please tell me?
