Flash In Firefox & vdpau In Mplayer Resets Brightness To Max Default #92

Hi guillaumezin,

Here are my specs;

Slackware 14.1 x86_64 Openbox 3.5.2 xorg-server-1.14.3 GPU - GTX660M - drivers 331.49 i7-3610QM Firefox 28.0 flashplayer-plugin-11.2.202.346 nvidiabl 0.87

I noticed when you are on a site that uses flash it will cause the screen brightness if you've lowered it to reset back to the maximum brightness.

I'll have to disable flash for now, it's not fun constantly needing to set the brightness...

I notice the screen brightness is also set back to max default brightness when watching a video using vdpau in mplayer too.

I hope this can be fixed soon, thanks guillaumezin.

Hi,

This is a known issue, inside libvdpau (video acceleration through the GPU), I can't fix it in the driver.

Even using smplayer with vdpau I see this issue too.

So are you talking about the actual libvdpau library, this is a bug that needs to be fixed in it?
