I have $ separator removed from my Sublime settings word_separators option. When I try to select a word with $ in the beginning ($word for example) with gh, it properly selects $word but I cannot use any of select mode commands. I noticed though if I first select $word in visual mode (ve) and then switch to select mode with gh, it works fine.
