2.0.17 MCU hack fail #61

Hello,

I just bought an LSC indoor PTZ camera thinking that the hack would work the same way as the others. However, when I want to run my commands, no port seems to be open even after putting ppsfactory in the root of the SD. So I checked the MCU version and the application indicates 2.0.17. Have you ever seen this firmware, if so have you found a solution? Many thanks for the help.

@trane51 never seen 2.0.x firmware -- if ppsFactoryTool.txt had no effect then chances are the firmware is either too old to support it or it may just be one of those running RTOS instead of linux. Only way to find out would be by opening the device and using UART or hardware programmer. If you just got it and it doesn't have the features you're looking for my recommendation is to return it and get something that has the desired features. However you just want to dig into it as challenge I'm willing to help but like I said: the only way forward is opening and connecting UART and/or dumping firmware with hardware programmer (and there's no guarantee of anything).
