sdcard erases itself after a period of time adds new folder sdrec #20

Not sure what to say about this one. I had it rooted for 24h or so only to find it was no longer associated with the AP. Upon more research, I find all of the data on the flash media gone and replaced with a single folder called sdrec, which lots of short clips of the reef tank. Any thoughts as to what is occurring?

I'm going to restore the root this evening and on some other similar designs and see if something in the Geenie app might have resulted in this. Hoping to keep the vendor app functional for the spouse and such. Would welcome any comments or thoughts...

Here's the odd part. The timestamp on the 3m video clips is not the same as the time written to media - the born and created date/time is about 4 hours after the timestamp on the clip which is the correct time (or was when I watched it last).

This seems like the known issue where the SD card fills up and the device erases it so it can record more data. You must ensure there's always plenty of free space in the SD card by either disabling recording or setting it to motion only and making sure it is clean up regularly (i.e. cleanup.cgi) to prevent it from happening.

If there was plenty of disk space you could be just dealing with a bad SD card causing issues and making the device format it trying to 'correct it'.

Thank you for the quick response @guino - apologies as I noted there was two references to omitting recording and possible overwrites if the cleanup.cgi script does not function as expected at the end of https://github.com/guino/Merkury720 - still unsure about the timestamps, very strange however I will also start logging of this as well.
