I have hacked version 2.9.7 , can i safely update ? #22

I have hacked version 2.9.7 got an mqtt logparser on it as well , Tuya app is giving me a quite annoying update notification, can i safely update it or do i need to hack all over again .. ? Screenshot_20210823-152050_Tuya Smart

@Tyrian81 If you update from 2.9.7 to 2.10.5 you will need to patch the new ppsapp version -- you will also need to make sure you have ppsFactoryTool.txt in the SD card so it opens the port for requests like /proc/cmdline (and the requests should be done on port 8090). Other than that, the hack should stay in place from what we have seen in the past. I currently have a similar popup on my 2.9.6 device and since I hardly use the tuya app I am not planning to update anytime soon. If you're going to update make sure you remove ppsapp from the root of the SD before using the 'update' button on the app. After updating, remove the home directory and reboot to get a new home directory with the new ppsapp in it (so you can patch it).
