It seems the maintainer of the Gathering Skill mod has given up maintaining it. I was hoping this may be able to fit under the More Skills umbrella.

I know you won't want to scalp the other developers code without asking for permission. I'd encourage you to reach out but will hazard a guess that you'll receive no response. I feel like the Gathering skill would fit well under the umbrella of this mod especially since the original mod is basically dead.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Removing the bugs in the Gathering Skill mod myself. I can see in the code where the current mod-breaking bug is present but I don't have any familiarity with compiling DLL files nor which IDE to use.
