Bias correcting bottom temperatures

A discussion starter for how (or if) we can account for potential biases in climate model projected bottom temperatures, especially within the Northwest Atlantic.

For this, likely going to use the Simple Data Ocean Assimilation product (1/2 degree grid, 1980-2019). A few key steps that we need to get done:

• [x] Get SODA data onto Box. @aallyn will email IT to figure this out -- could be a local computer storage issue?
• [x] Extract variables of interest. After SODA data is on Box, @dzaugis will run the files through code used from climate data work to get sea surface temperature, bottom temperature, sea surface salinity. I think that's all of them?
• [x] Explore extracted variables for any problematic biases. @dzaugis (maybe?) will make some preliminary data exploration plots to compare extracted variables with "known" observations (OISST, FVCOM or buoys?, not sure for salinity?)
• [ ] With data quality confirmed, go through the bias correction process using the delta method (@adamkemberling?)

Bottom temp and sal from SODA are in the box folder now. I didn't extract the SSS or SST separately b/c it is just the top depth layer, but I can if it is helpful to have it as its own file. Also, all of the CMIP6 data projections of ssp585 are regridded to the associated observed grid (OISST or SODA) and are in the CMIP6 folder on box.
