Notebooks and tutorials #17

We apparently haven't committed any notebooks, even though we have a bunch. That's OK because they're mostly deprecated, experimental one-offs. But we should start commiting high quality demo notebooks and ideally put tutorials into the documentation. These tutorials are useful to others but also myself to enshrine the best practices.

Ok, we have a tutorials page on our docs website now, albeit a placeholder tutorial for now. Good enough for now!
