At this point, if the "SALES" news is checked, then those are the emails we want to capture in PB...but we would want to be prompted in PB, so we can manually add them to an existing contact record or accept it adding a new record. I believe PB is set up to do this, but I don't know how. You should post in Basecamp to Anthony.

This will depend on PB's "Contact Status" for that contact. Help me think this through.
PB "Contact Status": Owner, PPO, NRM and RNM = CM Owner segment PB "Contact Status": Prospect = CM Prospect segment
PB "Contact Status" will be fluid and interchangeable, therefore updating CM's segmented lists. For example, a prospect may buy one day and therefore become an owner. We would change PB status to "Owner" and then that would update CM's subscriber record to move to the Owner list. So PB should tell CM which segment it will land based on PB's Contact Status.
Will that work? see attached screen shot of PB Contact Status values.

Yep. I got it queued up. I can run it whenever you want. Just give me the green light. Then after the initial migration, the script will run every night to sync pb => cm

The only problem is (or maybe it's not a problem right now) is that we haven't fixed the "Owners" & "Prospects" subscriber lists yet. Ryan was going to help me move them into segments, so subscribers can between the lists, as they can't right now. That way if a prospect becomes an owner and PB knows that, it would move the CM subscriber to the "owner" list. Thoughts on how to get this entire problem resolved?
So two things:
1) Now that I understand the API, I can write a little page that will list all subscribers and let you move them back and forth between the lists 2) We can wait for you and Ryan to finish and I can email him to get the status of that project

Let's review this request to somehow get PB and CM synching contact records and mapped over properly. I think this will be very difficult as I don't understand CM subscriber lists very well - however Ryan and BlueTent does. I'd like to get the "experts" together to resolve this so PB Contact records and CM Subscribers are linked. Therefore if someone unsubscribes from a CM eblast, PB knows and that Contact record's appropriate "email opt out" checkbox is marked. Due to multiple emails on a single Contact record, PB team suggested we simply add another checkbox called "Spouse email opt out" that would allow CM and PB to determine which email is opted out on a Contact record and matching CM subscriber.
Let's revisit this. It's important we connect PB & CM to manage contact records. Agents will be "opting out" (email and/or mail) in PB contact records, and need it to update CM or vise versa, correct? If someone opts out of CM, should PB match? thoughts on how to get this task accomplished before Sept?

I need your help to work out with Ryan at BlueTent or PB team to accomplish what we want. I'm defining the need, I need you to work with the others to figure it out on our behalf, what those options are, how much it will cost and how to do it. This is over my head. We want you to act on our behalf. I can only identify how we need things to interact based on our workflows, and have you define ways and council us on how to accomplish those things.
Got it. My point was just that I figured all that out and laid it out to you and Ryan on a call and the take away was that you two had to discuss what you wanted.

So based on our conversation, the latest is that:
1) No one knows anyway around the PB limitation of a Contact having multiple email addresses. So the problem exists that when an Agent unsubscribes a Contact, we would have to unsubscribe all the email addresses associated with that Contact in Campaign Monitor.
Likewise, if someone unsubscribes via campaign monitor, we would have to find the matching Contact Object in PB and unsubscribe that contact, which would unsubscribe all email addresses associated with that Contact.
2) If an agent creates a contact (or adds an email address to an existing contact), we would like the email addresses associated with that contact to be added to Campaign Monitor. What isn't clear to me is which segment they should be added to.
3) If someone signs up for campaign monitor newsletter, we DO NOT want anything to happen on Property Base
4) There is also confusion on how you are supposed to use the segments, which we are considering having an onsite meeting to go over.
Is that a good state of where we stand?
Overall correct, but wonder if Jarred or Pat Shedler from Kiawah can provide more insight on this strategy:
