PB is not honoring expose preferences #243

I'm hoping this is also the ticket for PB not refreshing deleted photos?

If so, I spoke to a PB developer that said to make PB delete all photos anytime a new photo is added or deleted, therefore it is always current and in order, which will also fix the Expose issue. You are correct in that each PB photo is assigned a unique ID, so it can't possibly match a replacement photo. Best option is to delete all and add all again anytime there is a change on our Refinery record for photos. Can you do that?

That is separate and I already fixed that issue.

If you're seeing a property that still has deleted photos on it, let me know. Just means it didn't get the update yet

I'm only checking random ACTIVE listings right now. Something is not right overall. There are NO photos, the Documents section is missing...there's nothing on the screen (it used to say "Documents" and there wouldn't be files were in it, and the Google Map visual is missing. Have you logged into PB to see for yourself? Here are some examples of the above. I think this is going to apply to all listings though.

I don't comb PB. That would eat up all our time. So I take one example at a time, try to figure out what's wrong and apply a fix.

I also have automated monitoring set up to catch problems. One such, I posted in Basecamp today.

I don't expect you to comb through PB. But do you look at what we see after you make a fix to see if it did fix it, otherwise how would you know?

That's why I ask for an example. And yes, I try and figure out what went wrong (which sometimes isn't clear) and then a fix. I then run my fix and see if it fixed the example. If it didnt, I try another fix and check the example. Rinse and repeat until the example is confirmed to be fixed.

I'll look at these examples today too. The problem is that it's nearly impossible for the code to know when a problem goes wrong with the API. Like, if the code knows WHAT can go wrong, it can account for it. The problem is, new stuff keeps coming up. And sometimes solving one issue creates another.

Case in point is that issue I posted in basecamp today.

Can you check out 611 Indian Harbor Road in PB and find out why it my updated aerials (from the other day) are appearing, but at the end of the PB photos, instead of as the same order as Refinery? Is this an Expose issue or synching issue? thanks

So Property Base doesn't have an order.

Like -- when I send a photo to Property Base, I can say "Expose = yes" or "Expose = no" --- I can't say like "Position = 1, Position = 2" etc ---- so it's basically "Photos in expose appear first and all other photos appear after that"

In fact, if we put multiple photos to "expose = yes" those might be in a different order, too.

So basically, what I'm saying is, we can only specify whether a photo is in the expose or is not.

@johnsisland this should be fixed and was working in the examples I tested.

If you find an example where it is not, please let me know and tell me which report and listing

Still not working. Check out PB Listing for 255 Llwyd's Lane as it's not showing the rendering photo as the first image as indicated by the JIRE website. We're also still getting duplicate images. I had updated this record today with text changes, new floor plan and bed/bath count updates.

Here's another example: 636 Ocean Road...photos in PB are out of order slightly and not honoring Expose setting, and there is a duplicate main aerial photo (old problem). I had updated this in Refinery today with a new floor plan and bed count. So in general, when we first migrated the web to PB, we noticed that the first "main" image was duplicated in PB. Then we noticed when we changed a photo in Refinery, it was creating blank/old images plus the new ones, and it was not honoring expose.
