MODKEY + anykey(except Enter) doesn't work on MacOSX with X11.app based on XOrg. #173

I have been using wmii under MacOSX 10.4 for long time with X11.app based
on XFree86. Recently I moved to MacOSX 10.5 with X11.app based on XOrg
and then the problem aroused: I'm able to use only MODKEY+Enter (thus to
create new window), but all the other combinations do not work.

I'm using wmii (v 3.1) from MacPorts. I also compiled v3.9b1 and the latest
snapshot from googlecode, but no luck there too -- the same problem.

It seems that the issue is caused by the xserver keyboard configuration. I
tried play with xmodmap, but again no luck.

Sorry, issue notification went to my spam folder on this one.

wmii 3.1 is dead ancient. I can't even speculate on the problem there. As for
3.9,
can you send me the output of ‘wmiir read /keys’, then run ‘wmiir read
/event’, press
some accellerator keys, and send me that output. Then, can you run xev, press
the
same accellerator keys and send me its output, as well?

I can't think of a reason M-Return would work and not others, or I'd suggest
playing
around with xmodmap.

I'm just throwing this out there, but I just installed Wmii on my new install
of GNU/Linux and I have the same problem. I'll try getting an older revision.

Can you provide the information I asked for above? If you're using a newer
snapshow, you can use wikeyname rather than xev.
