xmessage client popups starting at version hg2691 #192

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. random client behavior

the xclient popup, which I had never seen before hg-2691 seens to happen
every once and a while with no explanation.

selecting "wait" is fine, because the clients the xmessage are warning
about is fine.

Up until hg2691 I had never seen the xmessage client popup.

I suspect possibly these patches:

http://hg.suckless.org/wmii/rev/c26d9fd20d55
http://hg.suckless.org/wmii/rev/fe8a99d89597

What version of the product are you using (wmii -v)? On what operating
system (uname -a)?

hg-2691
debian linux 5.0; 2.6.26-2-amd64

Please provide any additional information below.

I also noticed that (at least while closing xterms) C+M-c nearly always
regularly
causes the xmessage popup to happen. The message references the client that
gains
focus after the client that was killed was killed.

"The following client is not responding. What would you like to do?"

Choosing "Wait" is fine, because there is nothing wrong with the client.

To my knowledge, this has already been fixed. I'll reopen if I get confirmation
that you're still experiencing it.
