Crash on Engrave with wands #40

Using a Samsung tablet P7510 (with Android 7.1.2 upgraded from stock; I realise this isn't ideal for repeatability).

To reproduce (can be done in Wizard mode).

E - "Elbereth" E (wand id) "Elbereth" (yes to overwrite).

This doesn't always cause a crash depending on which kind of wand it is. When I reproduced it I was playing Samurai but I doubt this will be the issue. I'll do some more tests.

I sent a feedback message through the Android system, which should include some system logs but I don't know whether you will receive these.

This seems to be particularly repeatable with wands of wishing or create monster.

(Those create a new text entry pop-up -- I don't know whether that may be the problem. Both my phone (note 4 / android 6.0.1 and my tablet have the latest version of this app. I can't crash it on my phone.)

I can't find any report like that. There are two reported crashes at the moment. One is related to hearse bones upload and the other happens when quitting the game. Not sure why yours isn't visible.

More info, and hopefully I've sent a couple of bug reports.

Only can repeat this using the Bluetooth keyboard, but it can be repeated on both devices I have access to.

  1. Enter Wizard mode
  2. Wish for create monster or wishing wand
  3. Type anything in the prompt.
  4. Press enter.

This doesn't occur with scroll of create monster or when zapping or applying the wand.
