How do I know what's normal sleep? #101

The app works fine, and I've been using it a lot recently, but what do the
results actually mean? I haven't a clue if my hypnograms are good or bad. I
just have a series of spikes. Is there a way you can analyse the data, look at
peaks and total deep sleep time and say if the sleep was good or bad? Failing
that, just a sample plot of healthy sleep and unhealthy sleep would at least
give me some clues.

On the same screen as the graph, above the graph on the right, is a button that
says "analyze" (I think - I don't have the app in front of me right now) this
gives some additional information, and a "sleep score". I'm not sure what goes
into the calculation of the sleep score (secret sauce of the developer).

I have collected no metrics from users ' sleep, so I honestly can't say what is
"normal". I've known for awhile that the app needs deeper analytics into users
sleep so that it can provide tips as well. Its not an easy thing to go about
doing, but it will be one of the next big feature upgrades. I'm involved with
two other projects right now, plus full time school, so I'm having to split my
time quite a bit.

It may be worth noting that average healthy sleep for most age groups is 7-8
hours. Also, time to fall asleep should be as close as possible to
instantaneous :-) . As for cycles, check out
