Add single species into scale-invariant background #17

The goal is to be able to specify species parameters for a new species and

[ ] automatically adjust unknown parameters to enable coexistence
[ ] construct an initial condition close to the steady state

We do not yet worry about getting the abundance of the new species to agree with observed abundances. Coexistence at any level is fine for the moment.

The last thing we did on this on Monday was set up enough background species so that the special species (gurnard) sat towards the middle of the community. The initial condition that was constructed had the gurnard at a much higher abundance than the power-law background. We had expected that this would lead to an overabundance of food for the largest species and that they would grow in abundance over time, but this did not happen. @richardsouthwell is tasked to get to the bottom of this.
