no longer booting into OS and instead showing HDMI 2 no signal #490

What were you doing?

It was running fine for months and then suddenly won't boot anymore (we had a powercut)

What did you expect to happen?

Boot to the OS

What happened instead?

It no longer boots, on my PC monitor it says HDMI 2 no signal after the bootup sequence, and on my touchscreen in the wall, it just shows a black screen.

I have re-installed RaspberryPI OS to make sure the SD card is ok and this boots fine. I then installed the latest fullpageos using the RaspberryPI installer. I also enabled hdmi_safe=1 in the config file to see if this would help but it didn't

Was there an error message displayed? What did it say?

no error just a HDMI no signal message

Version of FullPageOS?

lastest stable version

Looks like a boot loop. Did you try to take the ad card to a PC and run fsck on it?

nickoo0 commented 5 months ago

I didn't run fsck but I did format it and install a different OS to test the card and it booted fine. I then re-flashed it with fullpageos and it did the same thing where it showed no signal

nickoo0 commented 5 months ago

got it to boot by uncommenting these

hdmi_force_hotplug=1 config_hdmi_boost=4
