MooMash API will stop working soon #6

Unfortunately they will stop their service. Good for us they released their fingerprints. Got some RPI2 laying around. Maybe I can use them as an EchoPrint server.

Quite unfortunate indeed after Echo Nest did the same to their API earlier (http://developer.echonest.com/forums/thread/3650). I haven't come across any other direct replacement option yet.

What about musicbrainz? I guess they also provide an api

Unfortunately they appear (https://wiki.musicbrainz.org/Fingerprinting) to use a different audio fingerprinting technology (AcoustID instead of Echoprint), so it looks like it's not a good replacement as back-end. That was the beauty of switching from the Echonest API to the MooMa.sh API.
