Fig. 2.1 tries to help reader understand that all objects (text, image, functions, etc) are just some bytes. When I saw this figure for the first time, I noticed it says "it's all just bytes", and I thought it meant "all the cells that were shown in the figure are just bytes." Well, that is literally True but I think the author wanted to help reader to understand that the sentence itself, which is a text, is just some bytes. I realized that when I moved my eyes to the right (to see the symbol of a person) or to bottom where I saw the term "text".
Since eyes are moving left-to-right and top-to-bottom, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to show the term "text" and then show the sentence just below it. The same can go for the image and instructions.
