New themes/stylesheets/css #4086

Originally reported on Google Code with ID 4085

Detailed description (please be as specific as possible):

Add new stylesheet options to the standard GWT components.
It would be very useful (and cheap) to add cool CSSes as
those used on gmail themes.

TIA,
R.

The default style themes look somewhat similar to gmail (from a while back). Are you

just asking for better default style themes?

To be honest with you this isn´t a issue for me anymore since now I´m using GXT (Ext

GWT).
I know the development effort of you focus on GWT functionality, but I still think

there is a lot of developers out there that want richer components, or, at least,
better stylesheets. Those that come with GWT are too basic.
Don´t get me wrong, It´s just that web/enterprise applications nowadays demand that

kind of interface.

TIA,
R.

AFAIK the GWT team doesn't have any plans to work on new widgets/themes/etc.

Yeah I noticed. I has been two years since the OP.
What I can't understand is why they bother buying GWT Designer and building GWT Plugin
for Eclipse. If they want a wider audience, why not buying Sencha's GXT? Google does
so much uncommon acquisitions that GXT would be an easy one. Or they could build AT
LEAST a set of richer components with a bunch of stylesheets options. Or they could
just create new default stylesheets! <sarcasm>Hey, that would be easy!</sarcasm> My
2 cents.
