Would suggest asking this in the GWT chats over on gitter: https://gitter.im/gwtproject/gwt
Vertispan provides paid commercial support for the GWT ecosystem including the compiler, feel free to contact us to discuss this further - my email is colin@vertispan.com. We aren't necessarily specific to versions, but we do generally advise to use the latest stable release.
GWT 2.8.2 will be supported by the community until the next release comes out - we're currently working on the 2.9 release, at which time that will be the supported release.
Other work is being done in parallel, modernizing most of the widgets and tooling you find in gwt-user, so that it is compatible with https://github.com/google/j2cl/ as well. These are being moved to github.com/gwtproject as they reach a "ready to be used" state, and will be put in maven central soon to make them easily accessible.
Hello,
Thanks a lot for your quick response.
May I ask you as well for the technical maintenance/support you will provide to these 2 releases:
Google Web Toolkit 2.4.0
Google Web toolkit Incubator 0.0.1 (20101117-r1766.jar)
We have been using them for the previous project, and would like to stick with them if still supported. Thank you again!
Regards, Sergi

These versions are not supported by the community, as they are quite old - some of the contents of gwt-incubator were moved into newer versions of GWT or other parts of the ecosystem, others were abandoned entirely. Some of those moved classes had some changes as part of the move. The version of gwt-incubator shows that this is coming up on 9 years old, and we can see from http://www.gwtproject.org/release-notes.html that GWT 2.4.0 is over 8 years old (but what a great release that was...).
So, while that version is not supported, almost any API used in GWT 2.4 should still be present today in GWT 2.8.2 - see the linked release notes to see what has changed in the meantime. For any class in GWT-Incubator, either it has been moved to its own project, into gwt-user, or will need to be ported separately - but the community has not supported gwt-incubatir for a very long time.
Gitter's gwtproject/gwt channel or Stackoverflow's gwt tag are probably the best place to ask for some community support around upgrade issues you may have, otherwise I can contact you off-list for some more dedicated support.
Hello,
I work for a long-term project which requires strong and stable technical support for every software used.
I want to know how long you are providing technical support for the following SW product:
GWT 2.8.2
Please I appreciate so much that you can give me expiration dates for this software product!
Thank you!
