consider adding hostname aliases to Machine #193

Some of our VMs have more than one name, e.g. an ip address, an internal vm name, a public cname. Different o/s and software layers might respond with one or another name depending on how/where they are asked.

We had thought that "what's your hostname?" might be a question we try to answer for ourselves in one or more layers of inventory/clint code and because the answer that comes back might be non-singular I thought it might be a good idea to have aliases mapped to expand the likelihood of a match.
