T172 events ugly wrapping #176

Events pages have had some weird wrapping issues (I think due to some combo of field type changes, historical mystery CSS, and Drupal class-itis). The changes committed here should hack together enough of a fix for #172, where Quinn gave examples of brokenness in various browsers.

@sccherry, this hasn't gone through our regression/approval process, so needs to be reverted and branch restored!

In other news, I'm not sure why the disabling of the clearfix:after stuff, but FWIW, lots of the stuff in this theme is inherited from old junk, is messy, is obsolete, etc., but I guess I've been waiting till multisite/subtheme/migration/something time to bother w/ any kind of clean-up.
