Laura will remove html comment in item.html. we probably should create new milestone, assign this issue and PR to the new milestone for tagging and deployment?

With this change, the reference books example correctly still says Off-Site

An updated casperjs test (#349) in launchpad-autotest will look for DUE in a different record, reliably checked out.
